Roomies by Sara Zarr and Tara Altebrando

"It’s time to meet your new roomie.

When East Coast native Elizabeth receives her freshman-year roommate assignment, she shoots off an e-mail to coordinate the basics: television, microwave, mini-fridge. That first note to San Franciscan Lauren sparks a series of e-mails that alters the landscape of each girl’s summer — and raises questions about how two girls who are so different will ever share a dorm room.” — From Goodreads

My Thoughts:

I really enjoyed this book.  It brought back memories of when I first went to college and when I first met my roommate.  The emotions that the girls go through seem very real.  How does someone transition to living with another person that they haven't met yet?  Even though the girls have never met, they seem to click right away.  They start telling each other everything, and eventually their relationship becomes a sticky mess.

Disclosure: I borrowed this book from my library.
