2015 Book Survey

Genre You Read The Most From:  Can picture books be a genre?  Probably fantasy then.

Definitely a tie between Winter by Marissa Meyer and Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas.

2. Book You Were Excited About & Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn’t?

The Collector & The Liar both by Nora Roberts.  Her standalones have left me wanting more lately.

3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read in 2015?

I picked up the Delirium series by Lauren Oliver on a whim, and I loved it.

4. Book You “Pushed” The Most People To Read (And They Did) In 2015?

I pushed a lot of people to read Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.

5. Best series you started in 2015? Best Sequel of 2015? Best Series Ender of 2015?

Best series started: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
Best sequel: The Heir by Kiera Cass
Best series ender: Winter by Marissa Meyer

6. Favorite new author you discovered in 2015?

I wrote a whole post on this topic: New to Me Authors in 2015.

7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?

Girls Like Us by Gail Giles was really outside of my comfort zone, and I really enjoyed it.

8. Most action-packed/thrilling/unputdownable book of the year?

Loved Red Queen!

A Court of Thorns and Roses.

LOVED Winter.

Girls Like Us forced me to think outside of my normal boundaries.

14. Book you can’t believe you waited UNTIL 2015 to finally read?

Delirium.  I can't believe it took me until 2015 to discover Lauren Oliver.

The HUGE cliffhanger at the end of The Heir.  Not cool.

19. Favorite Non-Romantic Relationship Of The Year

Annith, Sybella, and Ismae from the His Fair Assassin trilogy.  Loved the girl power from these handmaidens of Death.

20. Favorite Book You Read in 2015 From An Author You’ve Read Previously

Winter.  Winter.  Winter.

21. Best Book You Read In 2015 That You Read Based SOLELY On A Recommendation From Somebody Else/Peer Pressure:

I usually don't take recommendations from others.

22. Newest fictional crush from a book you read in 2015?

Helllllloooo Tamlin from A Court of Thorns and Roses.

23. Best 2015 debut you read?

The Wrong Side of Right by Jenn Marie Thorne.

24. Best Worldbuilding/Most Vivid Setting You Read This Year?

A Court of Thorns and Roses.  Heck yes.

25. Book That Put A Smile On Your Face/Was The Most FUN To Read?

I loved reading Queen of Shadows.

26. Book That Made You Cry Or Nearly Cry in 2015?

The Heir.  The ending of that book was just horrible, and now obviously I have to read the next book now.

27. Hidden Gem Of The Year?

I really enjoyed Love, Lucy.  I really loved the fact it was set in Italy.

28. Book That Crushed Your Soul?

Really no soul crushing this year.

29. Most Unique Book You Read In 2015?

I really enjoyed the Ms. Marvel graphic novel series.

30. Book That Made You The Most Mad (doesn’t necessarily mean you didn’t like it)?

Again.  The Heir made me the most mad.  I hated hated hated that ending.

My blog is still fairly new, but I'd say Top Ten Tuesday.

I love getting to interact with authors on twitter.

2. Book You Are Most Anticipating For 2016 (non-debut)?

Stars Above by Marissa Meyer

3. 2016 Debut You Are Most Anticipating?

The Heir and the Spare by Emily Albright.  I love anything royal.

4. Series Ending/A Sequel You Are Most Anticipating in 2016?

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard.

5. One Thing You Hope To Accomplish Or Do In Your Reading/Blogging Life In 2016?

I want to set a schedule and stay with it in 2016.  I also want to incorporate more content so it's not relying so heavily on reading and reviewing books.

No 2016 releases here yet.  I have a lot that I'm really excited for!
